The terms on which this website is published. These cover the site itself. The terms of any engagement are set out separately in an engagement letter.
1. Who publishes this site
This website is published by Asveera Innovaite Consultants LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Using the site means you accept the terms on this page.
2. What this site is, and is not
Everything on this site is general information about data protection compliance in India. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for advice on your own position. We are a consultancy, not a law firm, and nothing we publish should be read as an opinion on the law.
Reading this site, downloading anything from it, using the readiness check, or sending us an enquiry does not create a client relationship. That relationship begins only when both sides sign an engagement letter.
3. Accuracy
We take care to keep this site current, and data protection law in India is still settling. Rules commence in stages, guidance appears, and positions change. We may update or remove anything here without notice. We do not warrant that the site is complete or current at the moment you read it.
If you spot something that is wrong or out of date, tell us at contact@asveera.in and we will look at it.
4. The readiness check
The self assessment on this site is an indicative tool. It runs entirely in your browser, it scores a small number of questions, and it cannot see your systems. Its result is a prompt for a conversation, not an assessment of your compliance position, and it should not be relied on as one.
5. Our material
The text, structure, diagrams and design of this site belong to us. You are welcome to read it, print it, quote it with attribution, and share links to it. You may not republish substantial parts of it as your own, or use it to train a model that competes with our business, without written permission.
Documents produced during a client engagement are governed by that engagement letter, not by this page. Those are licensed to the client permanently.
6. Links out
Where we link to another site, we do so because it looked useful at the time. We do not control those sites, we do not endorse everything on them, and we are not responsible for what they do with your data.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt this site, gain unauthorised access to it, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, or use it to send unsolicited commercial messages. If you have found a security problem, please use our responsible disclosure route rather than exploiting it.
8. Liability
We provide this site as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud.
Liability arising from a client engagement is dealt with in the engagement letter for that engagement, not here.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy notice.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
